Arab Heritage Month 2025

During the month of April, we celebrate Arab Heritage Month, which uplifts the SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) community’s rich heritage and numerous contributions to society in the United States. After 7 years of advocacy and work, the month of April was officially recognized as Arab American Heritage Month for the first time in 2023. Mount Holyoke College commemorates Arab Heritage Month by uplifting all peoples of Southwest Asian and North African descent, celebrating the history, culture, and hopes of our beautifully diverse community members who share this heritage.

The office of Community and Belonging collaborates with individuals and departments across the Mount Holyoke Community to celebrate Arab Heritage Month.

This year’s theme is Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.
