Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 as books were being challenged across the United States. This annual event highlights the importance of affirming freedom of expression and the right to seek and express ideas. It is celebrated across the country by librarians, educators, authors, readers, publishers and bookstores. Please check out many resources created by Library, Information and Technology Services (LITS) and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Mount Holyoke.
