This workshop is intended to provide participants with guidance in understanding some of the basic terms of Disability Oppression and how to prevent discrimination against people with disabilities.

The session will include discussions on the history of injustices perpetrated against the disability community, along with the perpetuated stereotypes and biases that can prevent the society from being truly accepting and accessible to people with disabilities.

In this workshop, we will begin to discuss moving forward in striving for an accessible society that provides equitable rights and opportunities to all.

Speaker: Dr. Madeline L Peters
