Drop in to chat with Samm Nelson and Ava Healy in a birds of a feather session that explores the work of the community group Alliance Against Ableism that was started at UMass.

This group meets weekly and is comprised of faculty, staff, students, and community members who identity as disabled or are allies of the disabled community. Our group has done trainings on ableism, disability history, social events to celebrate disability and intersectional identities, as well as book clubs, speaker series, creative writing workshops, disability policy advocacy, and will soon be starting a crafting time.

This will be an informal session where we share our work and ways you can get involved, no need to stay for the full time, drop in, chat a little and meet some of the Alliance.
