Susana M. Morris is a queer Jamaican-American writer who received her Ph.D. from Emory University and her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. She is an associate professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is the author of Close Kin and Distant Relatives: The Paradox of Respectability in Black Women’s Literature (UVA 2014). She is the co-editor, with Brittney C. Cooper and Robin M. Boylorn, of The Crunk Feminist Collection (Feminist Press 2017).
