About this Event
A conversation on how poetry in Black circles has grown throughout American history from Negro spirituals to Hip Hop and Spoken Word. A conversation on how our pain and trauma have been used to heal, guide, and entertain in various forms that come back to the essence of rhythm and poetic parables.
This is an affinity-based session focused on providing support to Black students interested in poetry and spoken word.
