About this Event
This coming Thursday, September 15th, at 6 pm, there is a virtual (Zoom) gathering hosted by the College of Humanities and Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst to launch Exactitude: On Precision and Play in Contemporary Architecture (University of Massachusetts Press, 2022). This volume is the result of a collaboration between colleagues Pari Riahi (Department of Architecture, UMass Amherst) Laure Katsaros (French, Amherst College) and Michael Davis (Department of Art History and Architectural Studies, Mount Holyoke College).
Pari and Laure will introduce the project; Ada Tolla, founding partner of LOT-EK, and the architectural critic and theorist Teresa Stoppani will present their contributions to the volume. Mohsen Mostafavi, professor of design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and Paul Emmons, associate Dean for Graduate Studies at Virginia Tech, will also be present to discuss the project. You can register via the link, listen in, and ask questions.
