In this dialogue, President Sonya Stephens and Vice President for Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer Kijua Sanders-McMurtry discuss the College’s efforts towards becoming an anti-racist community with a specific focus on their own racialized experiences and studies. It is recommended that viewers first watch this discussion on race in American and anti-racism with Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo in conversation with Gayle King, which President Stephens and Vice President Sanders-McMurtry evoke. Viewers may also wish to review the College’s Anti Racism Action Plan and its progress, and the student-led and created Mount Holyoke College Archives and Special Collections exhibition “Demonstration, Exposition, Exhibition: A View Of Mount Holyoke Student Activism.”

Watch the dialogue.
