This panel will cover a spectrum of arts industry roles in the fields of the visual and literary arts. Carmen Mickelson served as an assistant to the directors at A Journey Home Film Productions in Ossining, NY, which involved tasks within the multiple stages of film production, from inception to editing and distribution. Alex Fridell completed a self-designed creative writing project in San Diego, California, exploring elements such as sensory input, life experiences, and other art forms, and how those elements influence their writing. Ray Brown was a documentary film distribution intern at New Day Films, aiding filmmakers in securing film reviews; honing skills in educational outreach, event planning, and graphic design through collaboration with marketing. Thus, this panel highlights our collective experiences in gaining both creative and administrative skills throughout the entirety of artistic processes.
