Navigating the workplace can be challenging – especially when you are an intern and uncertain about where you fit within the organization. We’ll discuss how we discovered and applied for our internships, as well as how we navigated internship responsibilities. In this panel, we will share our experiences building relationships with coworkers, learning from failure, and overcoming interpersonal challenges. We'll talk about how we had to be adaptive and creative when developing our roles and how we found our place (aka, how we responded to being left to our own devices and built our own structure). Through outreach work, we practiced getting out of our comfort zones, connecting with external sources, and learned how to navigate a professional workplace and get real-world experience. We will talk about our personal experiences going through or experiencing imposter syndrome, a common experience amongst young adults. We hope you enjoy listening to our presentations!
