About this Event
In support of our Immigrant, Mixed Status, Undocumented and International communities, we invite students who are seeking a space to connect confidentially with others regarding concerns about their status. Drawing on the principles of Talking Circles as practiced in indigenous communities, we invite you to join this session which will provide an opportunity to come together, talk about your concerns, and hear others do the same, with the focus on providing resources, sharing thoughts and building community in a confidential space. The session will be facilitated by the MHC's Ombudsperson, Vivian Hsu. She will work to ensure that each person who wishes to be heard is given the same chance to speak, though participants also are welcome to pass on their turn to talk. This session will help us process our emotions, foster compassion and empathy, and serve as a step in strengthening our community.
Location will be announced after the RSVPs are received to ensure privacy for those participating in the session.
