Although they interned in a variety of organizational settings, Lindsay Clark, Frankie Crosby, Ana Stewart, and Marley Berano all supported community-based programming that challenged their skills as educators and coordinators. Their work reflected strong commitments to engagement with diverse populations and a focus on educational outreach. Through healing, connection, education, and care, their positions supported adults and youth with a wide variety of experiences, identities, and backgrounds. Whereas Lindsay, Frankie, and Ana supported the operations of nonprofit organizations and their social justice orientations, Marley’s role was based in an educational setting for youth. Together, their experiences illustrate the truly vast array of careers that necessitate program organization, development, and sustainability. Regardless of the differences between their summer internships, Lindsay, Frankie, Ana, and Marley all gained invaluable experience that will support their further academic goals and post-grad aspirations.
