In honor of Disability Awareness Month, join us for a moderated conversation with disability rights activist, writer and cultural access educator Emily Ladau.

Ladau engages with organizations of all sizes and across all industries to help people better understand how they can make the world more accessible and inclusive. She will be joined in conversation by student leaders Mia Gonzales Jackson ’26 and Stevie Wilensky ’27 to explore disability language, historic and ongoing discrimination against Disabled people and questions of access and inclusion in higher education. Ladau will share actionable steps for what to say and do (and what not to do) and empower attendees to practice informed and thoughtful allyship that centers the stories and experiences of the Disability community.

Ladau is the author of “Demystifying Disability: What to Know, What to Say, and How to be an Ally.” The first 15 people to log into the Zoom conversation will receive a copy.
