This panel focuses on the use of data mining and analysis in both academia and industry. Panelists will share information on how they used different software like Python, RStudio, SAS, SQL, Tableau and Excel to clean datasets, create visualizations and carry out data analysis. They will highlight their day-to-day activities, working as analysts in the healthcare field, the education field and in the corporate world. Key topics covered will include, but not be limited to: using data for the operation and maintenance of social media accounts, developing back-end service and automated pipelines for internal teams within organizations to identify trends within the data and opportunities for investment of resources, building dashboards displaying rate of opioid prescribed for lower back pain within hospitals in Pennsylvania, statistically analyzing survey data and researching association between different diseases like Glomerulonephritis and Covid-19.
