This summer, all of us focused on incorporating different methods for data analysis to gain insights in various fields. Jenny worked on utilizing and aggregating public data in the energy industry and managing the data warehouse to support the advisory team in interpreting the data. Anh focused on gathering data using SQL and transforming it into insights to evaluate the efficiency of cloud-computing services. Claire focused on conducting market and competitive landscape research, managing data room materials and deal-related tracking sheets, maintaining and routinely updating backup data for internal use to help clients facilitate a variety of potential deal-type transactions, including, but not limited to, initial public offerings, take-privates, strategic alternatives, and fund continuation. While working in very different sectors of business, we all learned the importance of effective data analysis.
