Join the Disability Services Fellows for an analysis and discussion of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein! This discussion will focus on how del Toro addresses disability and visual difference throughout the film, particularly in regard to the Monster, as explicit coding of disability or visual difference as monstrous.

Snacks will be provided!

The film is rated R and contains potentially upsetting themes and images which will be discussed. This includes bloody violence and grisly images (including surgical procedures, blood and gore, and death). Themes include life and death, abandonment, and grief, as well as the ethics of science.

You can view the trailer on YouTube, and there is a "parent's guide" on IMBD for other notes.
