About this Event
Diversifying the workforce of an educational institution is not only beneficial to the College itself, but also to its staff, students, and greater community.
At Mount Holyoke College, the department of Human Resources (“HR”), in community with other offices, has spent the last year focusing on how to increase the diversity of our workforce. Within that time, HR has seen a measurable increase in the diversification of the College’s staff. In this session, we will show how this diversification took place, how it has already impacted our community, and why it is vital that we keep diversity at the forefront of our hiring practices. From taking purposeful steps to eliminate bias in the recruiting and screening processes, to mandating onboarding that includes training on gender diversity, religious literacy, and microaggressions, attend this session to learn more about what Mount Holyoke is doing to benefit its community and how to support the College’s mission.
