About the program:
Disability Services is sponsoring a new peer connect program! This supports disability communities that bridges class years and seeks to foster belonging, connection, and independence. The program is open to all - students do not need to be connected or considering connecting with Disability Services. This semester, the Peer Connect Program is a 6-week pilot, following research, development and ‘beta testing’ in FA25.
The program is looking for four mentors and four mentees to be respectively paired in groups of two. Peer Connect Mentors (PCM) serve as support guides for students that identify or resonate with any or multiple of the following experiences: disability, chronic illnesses (including both mental and physical), medical complexity, ongoing medical conditions, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, mobility aid users, assistive aid users, and more.
