This panel is composed of students from a diverse array of disciplines who all worked in educational leadership roles during the summer of 2024. Our roles demonstrated that being an educator can go beyond general classroom instruction and can assist in practicing multicultural communication, youth empowerment, and community building. Half of our panelists worked internationally, in Japan and Italy, where they empowered students in their global educational pursuits. One of our panelists specialized in engaging in youth-led community building with transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming youth. Another of our panelists assisted in a therapeutic classroom for toddlers as part of a program working to prepare children and parents for their futures. Come to our panel to learn more about how to center education in your career beyond the classroom!
