On Tuesday, February 27 at 12 pm, the Music Department will present internationally renown lutenist, theorbo player, and baroque guitarist Michael Leopold in a short lunchtime recital-demonstration.

Michael has multiple degrees in historical plucked instruments, including from L’Istituto di Musica Antica of the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan, Italy. Michael is in high demand as as a soloist and early music specialist with the world's leading Baroque orchestras. He will play a short recital and give an up-close demonstration of 3 early music plucked instruments - the lute, the theorbo, and the baroque guitar.

Michael will also be joined by MHC Vocal Faculty, soprano Sherezade Panthaki in a few songs by John Dowland, Barbara Strozzi, and Henry Purcell.

This event is free and open to the public.
