Dr. Terrence Richard Blackman is an associate professor of mathematics in the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics at Medgar Evers College.

Dr. Blackman’s research investigations are number-theoretic, involving ideas from harmonic and complex analysis. Dr. Blackman is also actively engaged in research on many issues surrounding ”Equity and Excellence” in teaching and learning mathematics and science in general, and in urban minority communities in particular. His most recent work explores building capacity in the mathematical sciences in ways that promote excellence and leverage the histories, cultural assets, and resources of minority and underrepresented communities.
