Over the summer, we explored creative approaches in education which enabled us to gain insight, actively engage with adolescents and adults, and improve our communication and organizational skills. Sunny Wei, a senior double majoring in Art Studio and Psychology, worked at a girls camp at Peru, MA. She actively engaged with campers, taught woodcraft skills, and facilitated the classroom. Kayla Samuel, a senior double majoring in Psychology and Dance, worked at Ailey Camp. As a group leader she actively engaged with the campers, and helped choreograph for the final dance performance. Ria Devani, a junior double majoring in English and Psychology, worked as an education intern for the UN SDSN, working under the SDG Academy and the Global Schools Program. Nguyen Thiên An, a senior majoring in English, interned at an international high school, initiated extracurricular activities and designed lessons in both formal and informal class settings.
