Henry David Thoreau famously wrote, “I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders.” Indeed, gardeners of all ages experience that same sense of wonder when raising a plant from a seemingly inert seed. Join Botanic Garden staff members Jessie Blum and Ali Costello for this drop-in, family-friendly activity. Participants will get their hands dirty learning the basics of growing plants from seed and will have the opportunity to sow seeds to bring home! Workshop will take place outside, rain or shine, under the tent at the south end of the Talcott Greenhouse.
