Analysis provides valuable insights for advocacy by identifying effective strategies and equitable practices. Our panel discusses research and advocacy through a global perspective, covering South, Southeast, and Central Asia and the U.S. Giang and Tehani delved into the analysis process, while Vy and Lily engaged in the advocacy side of their organizations. Giang will share her economic and political analysis in Southeast Asia and its impacts on US-ASEAN business activities. Tehani will present her research on the Sri Lankan parliament where she focused on pushing out social media posts and blogs that hoped to spark discussion on issues that may have otherwise gone unnoticed by the public. Vy will talk about her research on food insecurity and fighting hunger. At Hunger Free America, Vy also developed the training and on-boarding materials for the Student Ambassador Leader Program. Lily will discuss her involvement in project proposal, development, and event organization with an international peacekeeping organization in their Kyrgyzstan office.
