Come join us for a night of healing during Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Poetry Month!
This workshop will be facilitated by local Indigenous poet Ella Nathanael Alkiewicz and will include reading and writing poetry to heal from trauma in a safe space. Ella is a beneficiary of Nunatsiavut Government, is a poet, teacher, writer, and an artist. She earned her second bachelor’s from University of Massachusetts Amherst in journalism and certificate in Native American Indian studies. Ella holds an MFA in creative writing from Lesley University. She teaches online poetry for Indigenous students at the North American Indian Center of Boston. She’s been published in Inuktitut Magazine and Lucky Jefferson. Ella is married and lives in Northampton.
This workshop will be capped at 20 people. Participants must RSVP.
Food will be provided. For people who are fasting for Ramadan, please indicate this on the RSVP form and we will provide your meal after sundown.
