The word soma means “the living body in its wholeness,” and somatics is a way of engaging with the body wisdom for individual and social change.

In this intimate workshop for queer and trans identified BIPOC members of the Mt Holyoke community, Kai Cheng Thom, MSW, MSc, Certified Professional Life Coach and Certified Somatic Sex Educator will offer a guided series of powerful yet simple somatic practices for personal and collective repair from the impact of conflict and disharmony.

Together, we will build a safe-enough container of “empowered choice and voice” in which to explore the ways that intentional movement, breath, and conversation can help us to move through the crisis of conflict and into better relationships with ourselves and others.
