The members of this panel researched the environmental impact of AI, the impact of climate change on marginalized communities in Hong Kong, the effects of both climate change and citizen science in coastal communities, and the technical aspects of planetary simulation equipment. Through our work, we found that we learned just as much about ourselves as we did our topics. Not only did we discover how we can better work and manage our time, but also how to adapt to new environments, find opportunities, and communicate with the people in our fields. We found ourselves more capable than we believed at the start of the summer, and we have grown more confident and independent. Our topics vary, from environmental research to planetary science, but we found that these experiences united us all; the primary thread connecting us was the research process itself.
