Join the office of Community and Belonging for a screening of The Role of Religion in African American Culture, created by the American Black Journal. This short film centers a conversation between Rev. Dr. Kenneth Harris and Rev. Kennita Harris about the historical beginnings of the black church and the roles racism and spirituality played in its development. The film also features a special report from the Charles H. Wright Museum tracing the history of religion in African American culture. Group discussion to follow; lunch will be served!
