Interfaith Lunch

This is a past event.

At this week's Interfaith Lunch, members of the Christian community will talk about what Lent means to them, and how they mark their connection to faith on Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a Christian season of fasting, reflection, and preparation for Holy Week and Easter. A distribution of ashes will be offered at the end of Interfaith Lunch.

The word "Lent" is an Anglo-Saxon term that means "spring," and many Lenten practices of prayer and service are meant to lead Christians to spring and Christ's resurrection.

Each week we gather to eat, listen, discuss, and socialize. A vegan-friendly meal is served, followed by a speaker and discussion. There are different speakers and topics each week.

Be sure to follow our facebook group to find out more about each event.
