Our work spans multiple facets of the healthcare and mental health fields. We participated in work which intersected with public health and public health policy as we, for example, navigated foreign healthcare systems, prepared medical evidence for court, engaged with cultural differences, and applied research methods. Umme will talk about her research regarding Alzheimer’s disease and mental health interventions in Pakistan. Emma will talk about providing spiritual and emotional support for teenagers while abroad in Israel. Peregrine will discuss her internship with a private forensic psychology practice in Florida and the intersection of law and mental status. Yui will talk about their work at a public health organization and how her experience impacted her interest in reproductive health through a cross-cultural perspective between Ghana and Japan. Izzie will speak to their work as a volunteer healthcare provider in Perú and experience of intercultural communication in the healthcare field.
