Our panel discusses four examples of working in humanitarian organizations that strive to redistribute and allocate resources within their respective communities. Through administrative work, one-on-one support with survivors, attendance of court hearings, youth outreach, and harm reduction, our internships covered a broad variety of ways to get involved in the field of social services. It is our hope that this panel will provide an opportunity for our peers who are interested in a career in social services to reflect on our experiences, which may inform their professional development. Our internships provide a glimpse into the unique challenges of social work as well as the positive outcomes that are possible when we make resources accessible and available to communities in need.
