We encourage individuals to watch three important videos related past histories and legacies of injustice that are educational and informative about the Holocaust, the history of the Indian Boarding Schools and Japanese Internment Camps.

Videos:

1. Yom HaShoah: Holocaust Survivor Remembrances
2. Indian Boarding Schools
3. Japanese Internment Camps

Reflection Questions:

  • Can you reflect on how hearing the stories of survivors of each of these atrocities has affected you?
  • Do you have lived experiences as a person of a targeted and marginalized identity?
  • What are ways you are willing to speak up for people who are targeted and marginalized?
  • How are you working towards ending racism, xenophobia and anti-Asian rhetoric during this time?
  • What personal goals have you undertaken to combat injustice?

The two English-speaking videos were very interesting and I shared the URLs
with family members.
The Google MEET event was unattended, however. I was able to join the
meeting, but nobody else did. I stayed in the meeting for about 30 minutes..
Other than that, it was valuable.
