About this Event
Be Well is excited to offer Mental Health First Aid this fall.
Be Well is excited to offer Mental Health First Aid this fall. Mental Health First Aid was developed in Australia more than 21 years ago and is now licensed in over 25 countries. In this training, which occurs over two half-days, you will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies to help students in both crisis and non crisis situations and where to turn on campus for help.
Mental Health First Aid teaches about recovery and resiliency – the belief that individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better, and use their strengths to stay well.
This training requires 3 hours of pre-prep and 2 half-day trainings in December & January that will be hosted over two days and must occur in order.
If you have any questions please contact Ju Hong, director of Be Well at jhong@mtholyoke.edu.
Additional spring dates will be marketed in late January.
I am looking forward to meeting you soon!
With Gratitude
Ju
