Dear MHC faculty & staff,

Be Well is excited to offer Mental Health First Aid with a focus on higher education. Mental Health First Aid was developed in Australia more than 21 years ago and is now licensed in over 25 countries. In this training, which occurs over two half-days, you will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies to help students in both crisis and non crisis situations and where to turn on campus for help.

Mental Health First Aid teaches about recovery and resiliency – the belief that individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better, and use their strengths to stay well.

Training Dates: May 20 & 21 | 1–5 pm
Capacity: 14 spots (First-come, first-served)
Cancellations: If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please do so by May 18. We require a minimum of five participants to move forward and want to ensure we give everyone enough notice if a reschedule is necessary.

RSVP Deadline: Please confirm your attendance by May 15.

If you have any questions please contact Ju Hong, director of Be Well at jhong@mtholyoke.edu.

I am looking forward to meeting you soon!

With Gratitude
Ju
