For members of the Mount Holyoke Club of Boston

You don’t need to be a great writer for this class! If you love the written word, why not join us to learn how to find and use your authentic voice in your writing? Let go of how you think you “should” write and bring your true passions, gifts, and obsessions to the page. The writing process becomes a lot more fun, too. Author Jane Roper (who lives just outside Boston) is the author of the novel The Society of Shame, which is a semi-finalist for the Thurber Prize in American Humor, a memoir Double Time, and numerous essays and humor pieces. A graduate of Williams College and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, her work has appeared in Salon, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Millions, Poets & Writers, LitHub, NPR, and elsewhere.  (Thanks to Andrea Naddaff '84 for organizing this event!)
