About this Event
Commemorate the founding of Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in November 1837 by the visionary and dedicated Mary Lyon. Gathering at Lyon’s grave site to honor her and the historic beginnings of our alma mater is a beloved Mount Holyoke tradition that since the 1920s has also meant enjoying ice cream together. Please carry on the tradition by attending this event, where we’ll make sundaes and talk with prospective Mount Holyoke students and their families.
Be sure to bring a few happy tales of your MHC experience, along with a favorite ice cream or topping. All alums are invited, and we especially encourage recent graduates to come and tell their stories, as high schoolers, deciding where to apply, will want to know what it’s like to attend Mount Holyoke today and what makes the College special.
Also, if you know of any high school students in 10th through 12th grade who may be interested in applying to MHC, please invite them to this event!
