National Coming Out Day: Challenging Voter Suppression with Liliana Bakhtiari and Assistant Director of Campus Programming and LGBTQ Initiatives, Gabe Hall

This is a past event.

Liliana Bakhtiari will join Mount Holyoke's new Assistant Director of Campus Programming and LGBTQ Initiatives, Gabe Hall in a celebration of National Coming Out Day.

Liliana was Featured in Teen Vogue for her landmark run for the City Council when she ran as possibly the first Queer Muslim woman to do so. As a community leader and organizer, her social justice experience includes advocating for women's and children's health, refugee settlement, environmental justice and career training with orphans and human trafficking victims across 24 counties around the globe.

We invite all who want to attend to be in dialogue with these two individuals and listen to or tell your "coming out" stories if you feel comfortable doing so.

This event is generously supported in part by Craig Newmark Philanthropies.
