How does technology combine industries like supply chain management with scientific research in cell biology and surgical robotic algorithms? Over the summer, Angela worked at a global supply chain logistics company in Vancouver, shadowing the business development department in terms of web development. Yu Wati was a research assistant at Mount Holyoke College's iMero lab (Intelligence Medical Robotics) focusing on improving the sensory haptics of surgical robots through image processing and machine learning. Shamya explored the possible driving forces behind differing cell division timings in embryonic stem cells at the Max Planck Institute in Dortmund, Germany.

We worked in vastly different fields and countries but we had one thing in common: learning in a self-sufficient way to navigate the maze of research/industries in various settings that we have never encountered before. How do you face the challenges of quickly adapting, learning, and innovating in unfamiliar terrain? Come to our panel if anything sounds interesting to you!
