Networking and Building Foundations within the Entertainment Industry

Hear from a Film Development Intern, Film Production Intern, Magazine Photographer/Editor, and an Independent Screenwriter about their journey within the creative field of storytelling. Juliana's internship introduced her to tv and film development through extensive script, novel, article, and pilot coverage, in addition to project-specific research. Charley worked as a film production intern, allowing her to gain experience in many departments on narrative films, documentaries, and commercial projects. Rose worked for a magazine centered on photography, poetry, and additional forms of art. Audra created and implemented screenwriting techniques undergoing various stages in the creative process, eventually developing an original script. These students utilized Mount Holyoke's resources and alumni network to secure their future within their desired fields of interest. Listeners can expect to learn about these students' personal experiences within the entertainment industry and how to achieve similar outcomes through networking.
