From swimming to seizures:
Investigating locomotion and epilepsy in
developing zebrafish

Gerald Downes, Ph.D.
UMass, Amherst

Dr. Downes studies how the brainstem, spinal cord,
and muscles develop and function to produce
locomotor behavior. Come learn how his latest work
using zebrafish is leading to new insights and
therapeutics for the treatment of epilepsy.
