Oil Painting 101

Intrigued with the arts and creative expression? Join us for an Alumnae Association virtual back-to-class where artist Erin McGee Ferrell ’94 will provide an introduction to oil painting. Learn some foundational tools and techniques to try your hand at this centuries-old artform. You may wish to have note-taking materials available, but no other supplies are needed for this session.

Erin McGee Ferrell is a professional artist and art educator, currently teaching at the University of New England in Maine. She creates large contemporary oil paintings for private and corporate environments. Ferrell graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a major in Fine Arts and then completed a second degree at the University of the Arts Philadelphia. A patient advocate and researcher for breast cancer education, Ferrell is the creator of PirateCrewPaperDolls.com.
