Dr. Marlin will share her work demonstrating the cellular changes in odor-recognizing neurons in mice following an aversive experience and the ability of those memories to be passed down to the next generation of offspring. Her research suggests that learned adaptations in the parent may have the potential to become innate behaviors in their offspring.
