The Mount Holyoke College Art Museum stewards an expanding collection that both reflects and responds to the diverse student body at Mount Holyoke College. In the spirit of inclusivity and engagement, MHCAM is inviting students to take a meaningful role in building the Museum’s collection. This year we are excited to focus the acquisition initiative on the works in the exhibition, ""vanessa german: The Rarest Black Woman on the Planet Earth,"" currently on view at the Museum.

Join us for an afternoon of art and conversation as we consider these exciting new artworks for the Museum's collection. After presentations by MHCAM Student Museum Educators and Student Guides, attendees are invited to mingle, discuss, and cast your vote. YOU decide on the best work for MHCAM!

Content warning: the discussion of vanessa german's artwork will include challenging topics, including racism, racist stereotypes, sex, loss, and abortion.
