Working as an artist presents a pressure to create what’s “cool” - work that will be judged by an external audience and then accepted or featured or liked on social media. In contrast, this workshop will explore how creativity is a strength that we can work with for our own self care, and rely on during moments of doubt. We will take inspiration from the natural surroundings of MHC’s campus and consider how we are part of a lineage of BIPOC creative brilliance. If weather and access permits, part of our time together will be outside.
