Panel Title: Uncharted Territory: What Happens When You're the Newcomer
Panel Moderator: Professor Rick Feldman
Stepping out of the classroom and into the corporate world can feel like entering a whole new universe, where the rules are different, the stakes are higher, and no one hands you a syllabus. During our internships, we found ourselves navigating unfamiliar industries, learning new languages (literally and professionally), and trying to figure out how to speak up when everything felt new. But along the way, we picked up strategies for staying grounded, building trust in our own skills, and making the most of being the intern in the room. In this panel, we’ll share how we adapted to fast-paced corporate settings, embraced cultural learning curves, and figured out how to ask good questions (and ask them often). Whether you’re about to start your first internship or just want to feel more prepared to show up in unfamiliar spaces, this conversation is for you.
