About this Event
Panel Moderator: Yaldira Felix-Castro
Building communities and facilitating dialogues among different groups is increasingly important nowadays. This past summer, we shared the common goal of serving marginalized communities. Our service took the forms of research, direct community engagement, and social work. In our panel, we will discuss the ways in which each of our individual experiences contributed to our personal learning and growth. We will be particularly focusing on our role in handling difficult emotional situations related to our work. Additionally, we will explore the importance of communication as it is an essential skill that we all developed during our internships and research.
