Mia and Gita are Teaching Assistants for painting students, and Mia is also a DS Peer Fellow. Students do not have to be painting students to participate.

This project is to create a visible representation of an underrepresented section of our campus community. People who identify with any section of the “disability” spectrums will be invited to decorate a circle, provided by us, that shows their experience of disability and relative identities. Gita and I [Mia] will then install all of the smaller circles in a larger circle to show our “world” within Mount Holyoke - a creative expression of our presence and intersectionality on campus.

How to participate:
We invite students to come to our TA hours in Art 301 where we will have supplies to create artwork for the display. We hope to be installing the week before November break.

If you have any questions, please contact Mia and Gita directly by emailing them at gonza36m@mtholyoke.edu and yingl22g@mtholyoke.edu.
