We are honored to welcome professor, Black feminist scholar, and author of "Positive Obsession: The Life and Times of Octavia E. Butler," Susana Morris '02 to campus as our 2025 Common Read speaker.

During Dr. Morris's time on campus, she will gather with students for a Pathways to the Professoriate program. Over lunch she will share with community members her path from Mount Holyoke to graduate school, her work as a Black feminist scholar and tenured faculty member and her advice for students looking to pursue their passions in the academy.

The first 10 students to arrive will receive a copy of Dr. Morris's book, "Positive Obsessions."
