What do maritime museums, study abroad outreach, and the publishing industry all have in common? Answer: a strong engagement with an intended audience. None of these fields can thrive without maintaining consistent and impactful connections with the people they serve. In this panel, the presenters will break down the responsibilities and strategies involved in their summer internships to create meaningful and lasting relationships between their industry and corresponding audience. Topics will include archiving and cataloging, digital outreach, community work, research, editing, proofreading, and more.
