This session is for folks about the process of repatriation folks who are themselves, or have family/loved ones exploring the process of repatriation.

Repatriation, the act of returning to one's country of birth, is at times a silenced option within migrant, refugee, asylum, and exiled communities. U.S. Federal Immigration Laws teach migrants to vilify their home countries in exchange for conditional temporary protective status, visa, and/or residency. However, there is power in choosing to return to one’s native country.

This session will de-stigmatize conversations about repatriation and provide participants with information on key steps they need to take if they wish to return to their countries of birth.
